Meet The Staff ~ The Barrowman Girls ~ Mickie (@pagan_hare)
Me in my @BarrowmanDay tee
My name is Mickie, better known as pagan_hare on twitter. I decided to start up #BarrowmanDay because JB has so many fans on Twitter and I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate this man, much like we do with #TennantTuesday. So I got together with Christina and got it moving. The web site idea, as I remember, was Christina's idea *grin*. And then a little later I asked Dana to join the team! (we're now married! Hahaha!)
I have been a fan of John Barrowman since I first saw him, as the rogue Time Agent and con man Captain Jack Harkness, in the Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child" from series one. I know I did see John as co-presenter in the childrens BBC One series "Live And Kicking," but it wasn't a series I watched often ( damnit! lol).
Why do I love JB so much. He's very talented as well as being a damn fine looking guy. He truly is an all round entertainer with a capital E, which frankly is a VERY good thing in itself. To be also damned good looking is a wonderful bonus. And no I don't think it's a waste he's gay because I do, some how, think that the lovely Scott Gill would completely disagree and quite rightly so.
As well as being a JB fan and also a David Tennant fan. Oh and also a Doctor Who fan, I am also Pagan (google it to find out more. Can't find anything then email me via the comments section on the home page :) ). I love doing arts & crafts and going for walks in nature.
My new picture here is from when I went to see him in Sheffield on the 14th November 2010 for his tour! Glitzy enough?! lol
Meet The Staff ~ The Barrowman Girls ~ Christina (@Classic_Dame)
Have you ever met someone and they just seem to have an air of the past to them? Well that is likely the best way to describe who I am. I am a twenty-something dame, with an old soul. A bit of Mae West, Cole Porter, Oscar Wile, and Audrey Hepburn all rolled into one. 'I Am What I AM' is a pretty good way of summing it all. To know me is to love me,just like our dear John Barrowman.
Why do we adore and respect John Barrowman so much? The answer is quiet simple-He's honest. When you look at him, you can see that he has a kind and honest soul. A rarity these days. Most people are here for a moment, grab what they can and off to search for better things. When you hear him speak, sing or watch him you see what he truly is. There is no veil,no falsehood. When you are honest and kind, it is hard for people not to see the beauty of one's soul.
He also reminds me of one of greatest gentleman , I ever had the honor of knowing. There is a comfort in seeing him, and seeing something that reminds you of someone that you cared for that is no longer here.
